Ryan Hood Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Young Appalachian Musicians program is proud to offer the Ryan Hood Memorial Scholarship, a $500 award created to honor the life and legacy of Ryan Hood, a talented young musician whose passion for music continues to inspire others. The scholarship helps support YAM alumni as they continue their musical journey.

Who can apply? YAM alumni entering 9th grade through age 22

The scholarship must be used for music-related activities or purchases such as:

  • Private lessons
  • Music festivals and workshops
  • Conferences
  • Instrument purchases
  • Other music education opportunities
