Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time, continuing your musical journey, or looking for new opportunities to play with others, YAM's evening music programs welcome students from 3rd grade through adulthood to learn, grow, and celebrate the traditions of Appalachian music.
From 3rd grade through adulthood, YAM’s evening music programs create opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Students develop musical skills, build friendships, and become part of a vibrant community dedicated to preserving Appalachian music.
Evening Music Program
Designed for students, teens and adults 3rd grade and up, YAM’s evening music programs welcome young musicians, teens, and adults alike. Participants develop musical skills, build lasting friendships, and become part of a vibrant community dedicated to preserving Appalachian music.

Students receive instruction on traditional Appalachian string instruments while developing musicianship, confidence, and performance skills in a supportive, intergenerational environment.
