Carolina Roots is honored to perform on the Foggy Mountain Stage at the renowned Earl Scruggs Music Festival in Tryon, North Carolina. Named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2025 Event of the Year, the festival celebrates the life and legacy of Earl Scruggs while bringing together many of the finest bluegrass, Americana, and roots musicians from across the country.

For our students, this is far more than a performance. It’s an opportunity to represent the Young Appalachian Musicians (YAM) Program on one of the nation’s premier bluegrass stages. Sharing the festival with legendary artists and talented young musicians from across the region reflects YAM’s mission of preserving Southern Appalachian musical traditions while inspiring the next generation to carry them forward.
