Join us for a special evening of music as Carolina Roots, the Young Appalachian Musicians (YAM) Program's premier high school ensemble, opens for New Dixie Storm at this free concert sponsored by the City of Pickens. Carolina Roots was created to provide advanced performance opportunities for high school musicians, allowing students to continue growing musically while remaining connected to the YAM program beyond middle school. Through challenging performances, community partnerships, and regional appearances, these young musicians develop leadership, professionalism, and a deeper appreciation for the traditions of Southern Appalachian music.
