DESCRIPTION:The Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Music (POSAM) Board of 
 Directors provides leadership\, vision\, and governance for the organizatio
 n and its signature initiative\, the Young Appalachian Musicians (YAM) Prog
 ram. Through stewardship\, strategic planning\, fundraising\, and community
  partnerships\, the Board helps ensure that our mission of preserving and p
 romoting the musical traditions of Southern Appalachia continues to grow an
 d serve future generations. The Board meets on the first Monday of each mon
 th to guide the organization's future\, support its programs\, and create m
 eaningful opportunities for hundreds of students and families across the Up
